How to add bitcoin to trust wallet 2024
What is Bitcoin?
It's a form of digital money that can be used to make online payments, similar to how you might use PayPal or your credit card. However, unlike traditional currencies, Bitcoin isn't controlled by any one government or central bank.
How To Add Bitcoin To Trust Wallet?
Adding Bitcoin to your Trust Wallet is a straightforward process. Trust Wallet is a mobile cryptocurrency wallet that supports Bitcoin (BTC) among many other cryptocurrencies. Here’s how you can add Bitcoin to your Trust Wallet:
Step 1: Download Trust Wallet
If you haven’t already, download Trust Wallet from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Install the app on your mobile device.
Step 2: Set Up Your Wallet
- For New Users: Open the app and select "Create a new wallet." You will be given a 12-word recovery phrase. Write this phrase down and keep it in a safe place. Agree to the terms of service and proceed.
- For Existing Users: If you already have Trust Wallet, open the app.
Step 3: Access Your Wallet
Once your wallet is set up, you will be taken to the main wallet screen. Here, you can see a list of supported cryptocurrencies.
Step 4: Add Bitcoin to Your Wallet
- If Bitcoin is Not Visible: Tap on the icon in the top right corner of the app to open the wallet management screen. Here, you can search for Bitcoin. Once found, enable it by toggling the switch next to Bitcoin. This will add Bitcoin to your main wallet screen.
- If Bitcoin is Already Visible: If Bitcoin is already listed on your main wallet screen, you don’t need to do anything else to "add" it. It’s ready to receive BTC.
Step 5: Receive Bitcoin
- Tap on Bitcoin from your main wallet screen to open the Bitcoin wallet.
- Tap on the "Receive" button. You will see your Bitcoin address and a QR code.
- Share this address or QR code with the person or service from which you are receiving Bitcoin. You can copy the address to your clipboard or share the QR code directly.
- Once the sender initiates the transaction, it will take some time for the transaction to be confirmed on the Bitcoin network. You can monitor the transaction in your Trust Wallet app.
Step 6: Confirm Transaction
After the network confirms the transaction, your Bitcoin will appear in your Trust Wallet. Transaction times can vary based on network congestion and the transaction fee used.
